Declaration
We declare that, as the controller of your personal data, we meet all the legal obligations required by the applicable legislation, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR, which means that:
- We will process your personal data only on a valid legal basis, mainly legitimate interest, performance of a contract, a legal obligation or consent you have given.
- We will fulfil our obligation to inform you under Article 13 of the GDPR before we start processing your personal data.
- We will enable and support you in exercising your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
Scope of personal data and purposes of processing
We process the personal data you entrust to us for the following reasons (to fulfil these purposes):
- Providing services and performing a contract. We need your personal data – your email address – to perform the contract (e.g. sending access details to an application, sending online courses, e-books or product information).
- Accounting. If you are our customer, we need your personal data (billing details) to comply with the legal obligation to issue and keep tax documents.
- Marketing – sending informational emails. We may use your personal data (email and name), gender, what you click in our emails and when you usually open them for direct marketing – sending commercial communications. If you are our customer, we do so on the basis of legitimate interest, because we assume you are interested in our news, for 5 years from your last order.
If you are not our customer, we send informational emails only with your consent, for 5 years from the date it was given. In both cases you can withdraw your consent using the unsubscribe link included in every email.
- Advanced marketing based on consent. Only with your consent may we also send you inspiring offers from third parties or use your email address, for example, for remarketing and ad targeting on Facebook, for 5 years from the date of consent. You can of course withdraw it at any time using the contact details on the website.
- Photographic documentation – e.g. from live events organised by us.
We keep your personal data for the limitation periods, unless the law sets a different retention period or we have stated otherwise in specific cases.

Security and protection of personal data
We protect personal data to the maximum extent possible using modern technologies that correspond to the current level of technical development. We protect it as if it were our own. We have adopted and maintain all possible (currently known) technical and organisational measures that prevent the misuse, damage or destruction of your personal data.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Our employees or collaborators may have access to your personal data.
To carry out specific processing operations that we cannot provide in-house, we use the services and applications of these processors:

In the future we may decide to use other applications or processors to make processing easier and better. We promise, however, that in such a case we will hold the processors to at least the same standards of security and processing quality as ourselves.
Transfers of data outside the European Union
All processing of personal data will take place within the EU.
Your rights regarding the protection of personal data
You have many rights in connection with the protection of personal data. If you would like to exercise any of them, please contact us by email: bpotocnak@btect.sk
You have the right to information, which is fulfilled by this page describing the principles of personal data processing.
Thanks to the right of access, you can ask us at any time and we will show you within 10 days what personal data of yours we process and why.
If something changes for you, or you consider your personal data to be out of date or incomplete, you have the right to have your personal data completed and corrected.
You can exercise the right to restriction of processing if you believe that we are processing inaccurate data about you, or that we are processing data unlawfully but you do not want all of it deleted, or if you have objected to its processing.
You can restrict the scope of personal data or the purposes of processing (e.g. by unsubscribing from a mailing list you restrict the purpose of processing for sending commercial communications).
Right to data portability. If you would like to take your personal data and transfer it to someone else, we will proceed in the same way as with the right of access – except that we will provide the information in a machine-readable form. In this case we need at least 20 days.
Right to erasure. Another of your rights is the right to erasure (to be forgotten). We don’t want to forget you, but if you wish, you have the right to it. In that case we will delete all your personal data from our system and from the systems of all other processors and backups. We need 10 days to ensure the right to erasure.
In some cases we are bound by a legal obligation and, for example, must keep issued tax documents for the period required by law. In that case we will delete all personal data that is not bound by another law. We will inform you by email once the erasure is complete.
Complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection. If you feel that we are not handling your data in accordance with the law, you have the right to turn to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic at any time. We would be glad if you let us know about any such suspicion first, so that we can do something about it and correct any mistake immediately.
Unsubscribing from newsletters and commercial communications. If you are our customer or partner, we send you articles, products or services on the basis of legitimate interest; otherwise we send them only with your consent. In both cases you can stop receiving our emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in every email sent.
Confidentiality
We assure you that our collaborators who process your personal data are obliged to keep confidential the personal data and security measures whose disclosure could jeopardise the security of your personal data. This confidentiality continues even after the end of their contractual obligations with us. Without your consent, your personal data will not be given to any other third party.
These personal data processing principles have been in force since 24 May 2018.
