WHY PLAN A MIGRATION
A migration is about data, not copying files.
When moving a website or system, it's usually the small things that get lost: some orders, images, redirects for Google or emails that stop arriving after the DNS change. That's why the migration is planned in advance, data is moved with a script that checks it, and the switch happens only after testing on a copy.
